Land Use Bylaw - Version for 2nd Reading (March 12, 2024)

See the amended version of the Land Use Bylaw (LUB, 848.22) as proposed and presented to Council for 2nd Reading:

Updated content is highlighted in red or strikethroughs as directed by County Council, which considered comments and correspondence from previous public hearings, written submissions, and discussion.

As a reminder, discussion period for this bylaw has passed. Any questions or clarification should be directed to Lamont County Administration - phone 780-895-2233 or email info@lamontcounty.ca.

Third reading is tentatively planned for the April 23 Council meeting.

This is about updating and modernizing Lamont County's existing Land Use Bylaw (LUB) and not starting from scratch. The current LUB was adopted in 2007, and last amended in 2018.

The proposed amendments implement Lamont County's Municipal Development Plan and Strategic Plan, to be prepared for economic opportunities and to ensure the best interests for Lamont County.

Lamont County's Planning Department, Administration and Council worked hard to incorporate all feedback received. If you have questions, please contact Administration.
