Weekly Updates
Please review the notifications for updates and during weather events. Updates for gravel and drainage will be posted when weather/season allows.
Planned Public Works activities for July 15-19, 2024:
Dust Abatement:
- Calcium Chloride dust abatement 100 per cent complete.
- MG 30 base stabilization on RGE RD 170 is complete. Based on the current weather forecast, the surface dust suppressant will be completed later this month.
- Road Oiling will commence in Divisions 2 & 5.
Road Gravelling:
- Gravel Road Patching as required throughout Lamont County.
- Select areas are experiencing significant rutting, and we are working to reshape the roads affected.
- 91 out of 236 total miles of the Road Gravelling program is complete (39%).
Oiled Dust Abatement Patching:
- We are starting to prep oiled dust abatement locations this week.
- Hand patching as required.
- 1,600 tonnes of cold mix has been stockpiled at Lamont Public Works.
- Ripping old oil dust controls as weather permits.
Drainage Activities:
- Culvert Installations and Replacements within Divisions 1, 2 and 3.
Miscellaneous:
- Tree removal, garbage pick up and sign replacement, as required.
- Hamlet maintenance.
- Sign installation as required.
